Loving the World and Connecting it to God's Infinite Grace & Power

Hi Everyone! It’s been a LONGGGGGG time since I’ve posted an update here… or even on my facebook page for that matter… SORRY! I’ve talked a lot individually, sent out several newsletters, etc., but I’m sure that many of you have been out of the loop in what’s been happening here in our lives and ministry. Let me give you a little rundown on all that’s been happening here!

As I mentioned in my last post, I was hired by Apple back in June. That has turned out to be just an amazing blessing for us, as well as a huge launch pad for meeting people for our church plant! The job has been great. We went through training in June and then prepared for/setup and opened the new Apple Store a few weeks later. I have been working mostly in sales in the store, but I just finished training and was certified as a mobile technician yesterday! During this time I will probably be working much more as a technician and a personal trainer there in the store.

Things are REALLY beginning to move now with the new church plant. As I said before, I have had the opportunity to meet so many different people there at the store. We have been visiting/maintaining communication with many of those people, and are in the process of starting small groups with those people! It’s exciting! A few weeks ago I met a latino couple who moved to the area about 2 years ago. They were very active in their old church in Miami, but they haven’t been able to find a church here. When I shared our dream and experience with them, they immediately said, “Count on us!”. The best thing is that they live only 5 minutes from our house. Although my job is a 45 minute drive from my house, I’ve met so many people who live in our area. It’s been great. We have seen God’s hand tremendously over the past few months, and we’re excited to see what he has in store for us over the next few months as we continue to prepare for the actual launch of the new church!

Our kids are doing very well… Erynn and Jordan are loving school. Erynn has become famous in her school as a singer! She’s has literally been taken all over the school to sing to different classes and teachers. She was asked to sing a special, and everyone loved it so much, that they had her do it for many others! 🙂 Jordan is great, and Derrick WANTS to go to school so bad! He’ll be ready when it’s his time next year. Both me and Norah are doing well. Now that we’ve been meeting so many more people, Norah is missing Bolivia less and less. I believe that once we actually get services going with the new church, she’ll be in her element here.

Keep us in your prayers as always! We have been slowly buying items that we will need for when services begin (mostly music & sound equipment), but we will need much more as we get going. We are also praying for another car. Since I work about 40 miles from our house, Norah is pretty well stuck here when I’m gone. She can’t leave. We definitely are going to need one soon. We’re trying to save up, as we do NOT want to go into debt to get this car… so please keep our finances in your prayers!

Thanks so much for everything and may the Lord bless you all greatly! We love and miss you all!

Jason, Norah, Erynn, Jordan & Derrick!
