Christmas Update & Erynn’s Letter

 -

Hey everyone… I pray that this letter finds you happy, healthy and blessed beyond measure! This letter has 2 purposes…

  1. I wanted to write and wish each and every one of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
  2. Share a letter and need from our daughter, Erynn. (Skip straight to Erynn’s letter by clicking here)

Before I get into Erynn’s letter, let me give you a quick update on all that is going on in our lives.

Life has been treating us well for us here in Nashville. As most of you know, we went through several tough financial years while in Georgia, and are currently working to put ourselves on much more stable financial footing before launching out into our next ministerial venture. Norah works as a Pharmacy Technician at an online pharmacy called “CareZone” here in Nashville. She really likes her job, and they treat her well.

My business, Skipper Innovations, has really taken off since our last update. Over the past few months, God has been opening up some amazing opportunities for the business as I’ve taken on multiple large clients/businesses in managing their online presence and digital advertising (SEO, Website, Google, Facebook management and advertising, reputation management, etc.) It keeps me busy (from the time I wake up until the time that I go to bed). We still have a long ways to go, but we are FINALLY headed in the right direction.

We continue active in ministry here, supporting our local church in all that we can. We also have BIG dreams/plans in the pipeline for our next move in ministry… but we are being patient, knowing that God’s timing is perfect.

The kids are also doing well. Jordan is doing very well in school. He is currently in 8th grade. Hard to believe that he will be in High School next year! Derrick is in 5th grade and will be going to Middle School next year. It’s incredible how time flies! Erynn is in her freshman year at “Highlands College” in Birmingham, Alabama. She is studying Christian Leadership, and her focus is on worship.

Erynn is in the best place that she could possibly be for someone her age. She loves the Lord, and is growing so much while at Highlands. One of her graduation requirements is to go on a missions trip. She is currently in the process of trying to raise the funds to go to Peru in March. Instead of me telling her story, I thought that it would be good for HER to share her story and need.

Erynn’s Letter

Hello everyone!

This is Erynn, and I’m a little nervous but very excited to be writing all of you! As you may have heard, I am currently a Freshman at Highlands College in Birmingham, Alabama.

Several months before graduating from High School, I felt the Lord calling me into ministry. This was something I had always been afraid of the Lord calling me into, since I grew up with missionary parents and in ministry. However, when God speaks, we must listen. I felt the Lord calling me to come to Highland College, which is a two year ministry school. Highlands is a school that prepares and equips both young and old with the necessary tools to go out into the world and expand God’s Kingdom. I’ve been living here, for the first time away from my parents, following the path that God has laid out for me.

One of the requirements for graduation is going on a missions trip, of which they offered us multiple locations. I initially was very excited about a chance to go to Israel, one of the locations that was offered. Yet, as time passed I felt the Lord putting Peru on my heart… heavier than I have ever felt. It didn’t take long for me to realize that Peru was where I needed to go. I have never been to Peru, but it is very similar to Bolivia, my home. Since I was very little when I lived in Bolivia, I never had the chance to truly and fully love and serve the people there. Now, I feel God putting a love for the people and the children of Peru in my heart like I have never felt.

This mission trip will be from March 8-15 (less than 3 months away!). To be able to go, I need to raise $2,200. As a college student, I have almost no extra money for this trip, but I KNOW that God will provide. I have put my full trust in Him like I have never before done, and He is taking me on this walk of trust! I am trusting that God will fully fund this trip in the name of Jesus!

I only ask that if God lays it on your heart to help support this trip to Peru, please do! I also ask that each and every one of you would please keep me in your prayers in this amazing walk that I am taking during my time here at Highlands, and that He would supply everything necessary to be able to go.

Thank you so much and God Bless!

Love,

Erynn

If…

If God is laying Erynn’s need on your heart to help… please do! Norah and I have been working hard to pay her tuition, room & board, but we don’t have the finances to cover her trip. Not only that, I truly feel that it is important for her to learn to walk in faith during this process.

All donations can be done through The Hand of Hur, and are tax deductible. You can give safely and securely online on our giving page, or you can send a check to:

Finally

We are and will be eternally grateful for all of the love and continued support to us and our ministry over the years. We’ve had many incredible highs, and a few lows, but God has been with us throughout it all. Please continue to keep us in your prayers during this time as we move forward into our next steps in Him and His plans for our lives and ministry. Thank you to ALL who continue to give during this time in order to help us get to the place that we need to be. May He bless you and your family RICHLY!

I’ll finish by leaving you with a live video that I took of Erynn and Bella last night (12/22/18) in a gig that they had at a Cafe in Murfreesboro while home on winter break. Enjoy!

Lots of Love and Merry Christmas,
